Claudia de la Cruz, also known as Orange County's "Flamenco Queen," certainly delivers a wonderful and passionate performance. Featured on "Across A Blue Sea's" visit to Jason's Downtown Cafe in the Santa Ana Artists Village, Claudia creates a true Spanish Style Gypsy night of fun and great Flamenco dance. Claudia is often joined by members of her dance troupe, Tierra Flamenca, as well as live Flamenco guitarists. Claudia is the Artistic Director of her own Flamenco Institute of Flamenco Dance, Cutural Stage of Art. Her school is located in the Cal State Fullerton Grand Central Building at 2nd St. and Broadway in the Artists Village of downtown Santa Ana, Ca. It is open to all who wish to learn the art of Flamenco. Claudia comments, "whether you are 2 or 99, it doesn't matter, all ages are welcome to come and learn Flamenco."
Flamenco is music and dance, from Andulusia, Spain. It is a story of a lifestyle that embraces the agnst and the joy of living, the sorrow of life, an expression of freedom of inner self, and the ability of the human spirit to rise up in courage to truly live.
